Stepping Stones
Program Overview
Camp Mi-A-Kon-Da’s Stepping Stones program provides girls ages 6-8 with the opportunity to participate in a 3 day overnight summer camp experience. Over the course of the session, campers will:
- Meet new friends – campers are put into cabin groups with peers based on their age.
- Try something new – campers are able to participate in a variety of traditional camp activities.
- Explore the outdoors – campers learn new skills and gain independence while connecting with nature.
- Stimulate imagination – campers disconnect from technology and reconnect with their creativity and imagination.
The ratio for Stepping Stones campers to staff is 2 to 1. A registered nurse is available on the island at all times during the Stepping Stones program.
The program is perfect for those who are looking to take the first step in their overnight camping experience as well as for campers who are eager to make the transition to our week long summer programs.
